Charge Capture- entering data into billing system, fees entered manually/automatically, claims scrubbing for accuracy of information, reconciliation performed to ensure all entries received are entered into practice management billing system and claims sent to clearing house.

Payment Posting - processing and posting payments and denials received from the insurance companies, generating patient statements for self-pay and patient responsibility balances

Denial Management - assess denial patterns and trends, quantify the financial impact of denials, all denials requiring an appeal processed within one week of receipt, process responses from clinical departments within a day of receipt, all secondary and tertiary claims submitted within a week of receiving primary payment and remittance advice(EOB/ERA), special focus on key concern areas such as invalid registration, inaccurate coding, lack of documentation and missing referrals, ensure accuracy at the time of pre-authorizations, secondary claims and while patient statements are generated.

AR Follow-up - process all denials within one week of receipt of rejection, follow-up on all outstanding requests from one day to maximum one weeks time, follow-up on all pending claims within 30 days through our proprietary alert system.
